The name Próchniak is derived from the Polish word "próchno", which means decayed or rotten wood, and can also be a colloquial, rude term for elderly people. By adding the Polish suffix "-ak"—similar to English suffixes like "-ster" or "-er" that create nicknames or identities (like "hipster" or "newbie")—the name becomes a playful, character-like title. Próchniak could be loosely translated as something like "Old Rotter" or "Woodster" in English.
